Back To School!

We are starting with a character unit on obedience. Today we discussed rules. We started to memorize Psalm 32:8 "The Lord Says "I will teach you the way you should go: I will instruct you and advise you."

I've decided to use the Core Knowledge books as the basis of our curriculum, at least for a while.

Larsen and I talked about "Mother Goose", read a page of rhymes and read Anansi Rides Tiger. She drew a picture of Anansi and the spider. She did a sheet of 0-12 addition. She completed 3/4 a Spelling Workout lesson. Finally, we worked through a couple of pages of HOP.

Andrew and I read a few poems. Then we read The Blind Men and the Elephant. He drew a picture of the story. We discusses sentences, subjects and predicates. He did 3/4 a Spelling Workout lesson. He did addition with carrying.

I read book after book to Cameron. He matched opposites. He was spiderman. :)
